I said I was tired
 I said I was scarred
 I said I was empty
 I said it was hard
 And Jesus said,
 “Feed my Sheep.”

 I said I was sick
 In shame hid my face
 I said I was worthless
 Used up and disgraced
  And Jesus said,
 “Feed my Sheep.”

 I said I lacked knowledge,
 Passion, and skill
 I said I lacked time,
 Patience, and will
 And Jesus said,
 “Feed my Sheep.”

 My resources gone
 My pantry is bare
 The only things left
 Are my spirit and prayers
 And Jesus said,
 “Feed my Sheep.”

 And then it dawned
 As truth to my soul
 All I needed was Jesus
 To keep me made whole
 And Jesus said,
 “Feed my Sheep.”

 God grants me peace
 The fears, they subside
 I wait in the knowledge
 That God will provide
 And Jesus said,
 “Feed my Sheep.”

 And with that I replied
 “Consider it done.”
