I stop to watch as falling snow
Drifts for me, in chaotic flow
Each flake unique, each flake aglow
Programmed chaos before my eyes.

And then, as if its planned
Each bit finds purchase on the land
Or in the trees to take a stand
Stately beauty in disguise

Amidst the wintry somber gasps
Of winter birds and forest snaps
A crack of tree trunk in collapse
Beneath the weight of compromise

Clinging sparkles doth abound
The burden hath made the tree unsound
With thund’rous noise it strikes the ground
It could not bear the wintry prize

Thus, here’s the lesson that we find
God teaches each of us in kind
Our sin is like the snow that binds
To ignore our sin is quite unwise.

Each sin that lands upon our soul
Adds to the overwhelming toll
Until our trunks just cannot hold
Creaks and cracks amidst our cries.

Each sin itself, is quite unique
Most are small and many meek
But unioned they make us weak
Which we dismiss with alibies.

We each must face our ponderous woe
Understand that sin’s the foe
And ask our God to breathe and blow
Away our sin and baseless lies.

He will clean our highest brow
And brush the snow from every bough
As we embrace His every vow
And claim His grace though Messiah’s eyes.
